HRCH UH FR's Elegant Grace
Call Name: Ellie
Ellie is the perfect combination of hunting dog and family dog, her on/off switch is amazing! When its time to hunt or compete she is all business. She finds most birds in the sky before you ever will and can mark birds hundreds of yards away. Ellie is an outstanding hunter and has retrieved hundreds if not thousands of waterfowl and upland birds. When the hunt is over the switch between hunting dog and house dog is night and day. She is always happy to see you and will show you with cuddling and affection. When she's in the house, she knows her role and her place. Ellie is amazing in the field and we both know we missed a great opportunity to finish her at a younger age. Ellie started her formal training at 5yrs old and she caught on quickly and flew through the program. Ellie is retired from breeding but she continues to train and hunt and may still run in some competitions. If we had to use one word to define Ellie it would be AWESOME!
Ellie has produced many amazing puppies. From her first litter with Rascal, those puppies have earned 1 HRCH, 2 HR and 1 UH. Hooch has also had success in AKC master tests and Qualifying stakes (see Hooch's achievements). From her second litter with Kota, there are 3 HRCH puppies, 1 HR puppies and 1 UH. Camo also has 2 Derby JAMs, completely amateur trained and handled and since then has gotten 2 Quals firsts, reserve JAM in the Amateur and an Open first! Chunk from this litter also has a junior dock diving title. From her third litter with Wally, she has two puppies with an HRCH and one with an Upland pass. Brimson also has a senior dock diving title.

Call Name: BJ
BJ was by far the biggest teddy bear you ever met. But you couldn't let that fool you, when the ducks were flying the only thing on his mind was the birds. He was probably the best hunting dog any of us have had the chance to hunt over! BJ was 85 pounds of muscle and it shows when he's retrieving birds from big waters on windy days or retrieving a goose in a field half a mile away. He was a sweetheart and everyone was his friend. He was easy to train and his biggest desire was to please you. Ask our 5 year old nephew who can get BJ to do anything that you or I could!

Leon, beagle, is our rabbit hunting fool. Leon is 14 years old now, but he won't miss the chance to chase down a rabbit. He also found a new talent this year...tracking deer! When not in the field, his favorite place is cuddled up right next to you.

Fred (a.k.a. Grandpa)
Call Name: Fred
Fred, a red and white Irish setter, is the old man of the group. He's 13 now but you wouldn't know it when he's out chasing pheasants. We got Fred when he was 5 so we didn't train him but his natural hunting instincts are amazing. If you hunt pheasants over Fred, you will always remember what an enjoyable experience you had. If Fred isn't hunting you can bet you will find him hanging out on HIS chair in the basement. All he wants it to be loved and he has his own goofy way of reciprocating his feelings!

Gizzy was hands-down the fastest dog we ever owned. At one point we clocked her at 43 mph! Although she left us way too early we were lucky to have her as long as we did. She was a huge sweetheart and had found her desire for hunting at a young age. We miss her very much!
